With coming up Oil and Gas Industry Worker Day, the ceremony took place on August 31st, in “Stolitsa” trade centre in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The holiday itself is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of September.   

On behalf of Governor of Sakhalin Region and Regional Government, the Minister of Natural resources and environment – Alexander Romanov - congratulated managers and employees of leading oil and gas companies.

— “80 oil fields were discovered on Sakhalin including 54 onshore and 16 offshore. Explored oil resources comprise 618 million tons, gas – 2 trillion m3” – he said.

The most prominent employees of the industry were given Certificates of Merit of Regional Government and Ministry of Natural Resources.
Also the results of sport photo exhibition were announced. The exhibition was organized by several oil and gas companies and presented in Congress Hall.

JV LLC “Sakhalin-Shelf-Service” was given a memorial sign for active participation in photo exhibition “Sport and Labor are interrelated”. The memorial sign was given by first deputy of Ministry of natural resources and environment of Sakhalin Region Andrey Chibisov.
